Get stuck in, meet locals and give back to the people and places you visit
Give Back is a directory of community projects and experiences, all of which you can get involved with during your travels or in your local neighbourhood. Everything listed has a positive impact on people, places and the planet.
We want to encourage everyone, regardless of who they are and where they’re going, to add positivity to their travels and/or their everyday lives by engaging with communities.
Built by us, made for you
We’re Matt & Jade and we built Give Back when we noticed our own travel style was changing. We didn’t just want to visit places. We wanted to positively contribute to them.
Give Back enables anyone to bring positivity to their travels. It can be as simple as choosing to have your morning coffee at a social enterprise cafe. Easy peasy!

Taking a Stand
We all have a role in fixing our broken planet, and Give Back is no exception. Accepting the evidence and the facts about climate change is the first step to formulating a plan of action.
As part of our commitment to tackling climate change, we are declaring a climate emergency.
Give Back is a signatory of the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism (co-drafted by Tourism Declares, UNWTO, UNEP, Travel Foundation and VisitScotland).
We’re also a part of Tourism Declares a Climate Emergency, a global community of over 400 tourism organisations, companies and professionals, all committed to delivering a Climate Action Plan aligned with the need to cut emissions in half by 2030.
They also seek to introduce positive action into their travel plans which not only brings development, regeneration and progression but also helps to enrich the travel experience.
Aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals
