IPPOASI is a voluntary association, a shelter for animals of all kinds, social space, laboratory of coexistence, resistance and mutual solidarity within the San Rossore Park, near Pisa, and is managed by an enthusiastic and passionate group of volunteers from all over Italy and the rest of the world.
All the animals that inhabit the Sanctuary are real refugees, who have endured tremendous suffering and have escaped conditions of difficulty and certain death. In its land of almost 4 hectares, Ippoasi finally provides them with a safe haven, where they can live freely.
Guided Tours
It is possible to get to know the refugee animals, discovering them in their real essence. Through the respectful encounter with the inhabitants of the shelter, important reflections are addressed, related to the exploitation of other animals, of our planet, of all human and non-human people. We carry out a work of spreading philosophy and anti-speciesist practice.
Visits take place ONLY by reservation, on the days indicated through social channels and the website.
Website in Italian only.
